Shipped Pending Explained
Your order has been picked, packed and dispatched, but hasn't yet been scanned into the courier's network.
This status means your order has been picked, packed and dispatched by Hutch, but the courier hasn't scanned it yet. There are two common reasons this happens.
The parcel hasn't been handed to the courier yet
Occasionally an order is packed, labelled and ready for pickup but hasn't been physically collected. This is uncommon, our warehouse team run end-of-day checks to catch any stragglers.
The courier hasn't scanned the parcel into their system
This is the most common cause. Couriers vary in when they scan a parcel, some scan at collection, others scan later at their depot, especially with high volumes collected in bulk.
When scanning is delayed, tracking can appear to stall, and in rare cases a parcel can become hard to trace within the courier's network.
Important: If a parcel was never scanned, it's recorded as "expecting parcel", which makes it difficult to trace. Most couriers don't accept loss claims in these cases, so Hutch can't offer compensation for shipped pending orders.
