Sellable vs Unsellable Stock Explained
What these two stock statuses mean and how they affect your inventory.
Sellable stock is inventory that's ready for sale and meets quality standards.
Unsellable stock is inventory that's damaged, either on receipt or through a return, and can't be sold.
These statuses aren't interchangeable toggles, and can't be used to manage what appears on your website. Moving stock between sellable and unsellable requires manual intervention, it isn't meant for controlling product visibility online.
To manage what's visible on your site, most brands use their website's own front-end tools, for example to temporarily hide an item or mark it as coming soon.
