How To Connect Shopify

Connect your Shopify store to Hutch using a private app.

In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels > Develop apps > Create an app.

  1. Select Allow custom legacy app development.

  2. Name the app "Hutch". The developer field can stay as-is.

  3. Press Configure Admin API scopes and grant the following permissions:

    • Products: read access

    • Assigned fulfilment orders: read and write access

    • Fulfilment services: read and write access

    • Inventory: read and write access

    • Locations: read access

    • Merchant-managed fulfilment orders: read and write access

    • Orders: read and write access

    • Third-party fulfilment orders: read and write access

  4. Press Save, then go to the API credentials tab and press Install app, confirming on the popup. This gives you an Admin API access token, copy this down.

  5. In your Hutch dashboard, go to Settings > Integrations, press Connect next to Shopify, then enter your store URL (e.g. mystore.myshopify.com) and the access token from step 5.

  6. Press Connect. Your store is now connected.
